Text someone when a report is completed

A notification is a text TextWork sends when a report is saved. You set it up as an action. It runs on its own. You do not have to be in the transcript.

Open Company Settings, choose Actions, and choose New Action.

  1. Add a label if you want one, such as Notify manager on a completed screen.
  2. Set Trigger to Report completed.
  3. Under Report schema, select the report type. The text goes out when that report is completed.
  4. Under Then do, choose Send message.
  5. Under Send to, choose who gets the text.
    • Team members texts people on your team. Pick them from the list.
    • Phone numbers texts the numbers you type. Each number is texted on its own.
    • Reporter texts the person the report is about.
    • Person in report texts someone named by a field on the report. Pick that field.
  6. Write the Message. Under Insert, choose Name to drop in their name. A field from the report is written in brackets, such as [name] or [notes]. [reporter_name], [schema_name], and [report_id] are available too.
  7. Choose Save action.

The action is listed under Actions. The next time that report is completed, the text goes out.

The text you get when someone replies to a message you sent yourself is part of Reply to users.
