Listing sites

A listing site is where someone finds the job and applies. Indeed, ZipRecruiter, a career page, and the other boards an ATS syndicates to are listing sites. TextWork screens the person after the application, with a phone number, is in an ATS TextWork is connected to. The script is the one you attached to that ATS. The board changes whether TextWork ever receives the person.

What starts the screen

TextWork texts the phone number on the application and runs the script. An application with no phone is saved and skipped, and no conversation starts. When the ATS includes a source, that label is stored on the report. It does not choose a different script.

SmartRecruiters notifies TextWork when someone applies. Zoho Recruit is polled for new candidates. Both are applicant tracking systems. The listing site is the place the person applied.

Indeed

Indeed Apply sends the candidate, including the resume, to the system that created the job. When Zoho or SmartRecruiters posted the job, that system is the ATS, and the screen starts from there.

A job created in Indeed's own employer tools keeps the applicant in Indeed. Indeed Apply on that job is part of the feed that created the job, and there is no self-serve export of those applicants. TextWork has no phone number to text.

Zoho's Indeed steps cover Indeed Sponsored, with a campaign of at least 7 days. They leave out Indeed Apply, so the applicant may finish on a Zoho form instead of on Indeed. The test on the Zoho Recruit page checks which one happened. A Zoho form means that post did not deliver Indeed Apply.

The October 2026 counts for one employer, and Indeed's own description of this delivery, are on 266 of 348 applications came from Indeed.

Other job boards

ZipRecruiter, a company's career page, OfferUp, and LinkedIn Limited Listings follow the same rule when the ATS posted them. The application arrives with a source label, and TextWork texts the phone number on it.
