Using TextWork filters to analyze your data

Filters narrow the dashboard to one slice of your reports and conversations. Use them to see a single script, a city, a field on the report, or the people who never replied.

The date range at the top of the dashboard still applies. A filter only looks inside that range.

How to add filters

Open the funnel icon on the dashboard. The menu is grouped into Users, Source, Filters, Location, Outcome, and Data.

Click an item to add it. The dashboard then shows only the rows that match. You can add more than one filter. They combine, so Script is Applicant screen and City is Cleveland means both have to be true.

Active filters sit in a bar at the top of the page. Click a chip to change it. Click the × to remove it.

Filter by person, script, or report

Under Users:

  • Name opens a search. Choose Is or Is not, then pick a person.
  • Member keeps internal teammates. Guest keeps external contacts, such as applicants and website visitors.

Under Filters:

  • Script keeps or drops one script. Choose Is or Is not.
  • Report keeps or drops one report template. Choose Is or Is not.

Filter by a field on the report

The Data list is the fields on reports in the current date range. If the list says No columns, widen the date range or pick a report template that has data in that range.

Click a field, then choose how the value should match:

  • Is
  • Is not
  • Contains
  • Doesn't contain
  • Starts with

TextWork lists values that already appear on reports, so you can pick one instead of typing it. Contains, Doesn't contain, and Starts with take what you type.

Filter by source, outcome, and place

Source is how the conversation began. Incoming SMS is someone who texted in. Scheduled is a conversation TextWork started on a schedule. Each integration you have connected, such as SmartRecruiters or Zillow, shows up here too. Click a source to toggle it.

Outcome is how the conversation ended:

  • No response
  • Dropped off
  • Completed

Location is Country, Region, or City. Each one can be Is or Is not.

Saved presets

If you keep applying the same filters, save them as a preset and turn them back on in one click.

How to save a preset

  1. Apply the filters you want. For example, Script is Applicant screen and Outcome is Completed.
  2. Click the star on the filter bar.
  3. Name the preset, such as Completed screens.

How to use a preset

Open the funnel menu. Saved presets are listed at the bottom. Click one to apply every filter in it.

Click the star again while that preset is loaded to delete it. You can also delete a preset from the list in the menu.
