Why I built TextWork

I'm Brian, the founder of TextWork. I've worked in three different businesses: a manufacturer where quotes took a week until I automated them (it was later acquired), my family's blue-collar business, and the student rentals I manage today.

I learned that whoever answers first usually wins. But in every one of them, I was too busy to be first…

Same questions from every applicant. Same qualifying questions back. Same “sorry for the slow reply”… how many good people did I lose while I was catching up?

So I built TextWork for 3 reasons:

• Answer every applicant the moment they text, even when I can’t.
• Ask the same qualifying questions every time, so nobody gets missed.
• Hand me a shortlist, not a pile.
