## Text Indeed Applicants Automatically, No ATS Required

November 4, 2026. Automatically text Indeed applicants without an ATS.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/indeed

TextWork can now start a text conversation from an Indeed application email, so you can screen applicants by SMS without an applicant tracking system (ATS). Indeed sends this email when someone applies to a job you posted there.

### How to set it up

- Forward your Indeed application emails to the address on the Indeed card in TextWork.
- Add a screener question to your Indeed job that asks for the applicant's phone number, so it appears in the email.
- Choose the screening script TextWork should use to start the conversation.

### What happens next

- If the email includes a phone number, TextWork starts the script you picked.
- If there's no phone number, TextWork saves the application and doesn't text the applicant.
- If the applicant is already in a conversation, TextWork adds the new application to that thread.
- A resume attached to the email is saved with the application.

### Jobs posted from an ATS

- If SmartRecruiters or Zoho Recruit posts your jobs to Indeed, Indeed applicants reach TextWork through that system, with Indeed saved as the source.

### No Indeed API key

- Indeed's API delivers applicants only to the approved ATS that posted the job, and only that system can hold the key. TextWork works from the email Indeed already sends you, so there is nothing to request from Indeed.
- TextWork is not an Indeed ATS partner and does not post jobs. You keep posting on Indeed the way you do now.

### Why text Indeed applicants

- At one Ohio commercial cleaning company, Indeed was the source on 266 of 348 applications in October 2026.
- Of 2,185 hourly applicants texted minutes after applying, 82% replied, and the median reply came in 42 seconds.

## Broadcast to applicant pools

November 4, 2026. Message everyone on the list who has a report in the current date range.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/broadcast-applicant-pools

Broadcast is on the people list, beside search. It messages everyone who has a report in the date range at the top of the dashboard.

Filters narrow that list. Someone shown only for context, with no report in the range, is left out.

Pick the message and when it goes out, then confirm. If someone is already in a conversation, their message waits until that conversation ends.

## Zillow listing details

October 29, 2026. TextWork now fetches additional listing details that the Zillow lead API does not return. It can now answer questions about the listed rent, availability date, pet policy, and deposit.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/zillow-listing-details

A Zillow lead carries the address and the listing id, but not the rent. TextWork now opens the public listing for that address and pulls the rent, bedrooms and bathrooms, size, availability date, pet policy, lease term, laundry, and deposit.

Those facts are in the conversation from the first text, so the assistant can answer questions about rent or pets from what the listing says.

A fact the listing does not state is left out. If the listing cannot be read, the lead still starts.

## Build an agent by text

October 20, 2026. Say what the agent is for, text a code, and TextWork asks what it should screen for.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/build-an-agent-by-text

On textwork.co/new, pick what the agent is for, like hiring janitors or leasing. The page gives you a six-character code to text to TextWork. The code works for 30 minutes, and the number you text from is the one on file.

TextWork texts back and asks what you need. As you answer, the page lists the requirements it picked up. When you finish, TextWork texts you once the agent is ready.

Already set up? Open Company Settings, then Team, then New. Choose where the agent is deployed, how a session starts, and which script runs.

## Multi-signer documents

October 8, 2026. One document, more than one signer. Each person signs their own fields.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/multi-signer-documents

In Refine fields, pick who fills each field. Primary signer is the default. Choose New signer to add another, like a co-applicant or a manager.

The link goes to the primary signer. The signing page takes one signer at a time, and each fills only their own fields. Every signature is a separate entry in the audit record.

The page lists everyone on the document in signing order, and who has signed.

A signer named Landlord signs last. That step opens once everyone else has signed, and only someone on your team who is signed in to the dashboard can take it.

## Reply alerts

September 29, 2026. Get a text when someone replies to a message you sent from the transcript.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/reply-alerts

Open a transcript and write in the box at the bottom. Pause AI replies is on, so the assistant stays quiet after you send.

Their next message shows up in that transcript for you to answer, and TextWork texts you when it arrives.

Choose Resume AI under the box when you want the assistant to take the thread back.

How to use it: [Reply to users](https://textwork.co/docs/reply) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/reply.md)

## Meeting pages

September 26, 2026. Connect a calendar, publish a page, and text someone a link to pick a time.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/meeting-pages

Connect Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar from Company Settings, then Integrations. TextWork reads free and busy time from the calendars you connect and writes the booking onto them.

A meeting page is the link a guest opens to pick a time. Set the length, the hours, how far ahead they can book, whether the invite includes a Meet or Teams link, and whether each booking files a report.

A Send message action can drop that link into a text. A bracketed field such as [name] fills in from the report that sends it.

How to use it: [Schedule meetings](https://textwork.co/docs/schedule-meetings) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/schedule-meetings.md)

## Call links

September 13, 2026. A teammate opens a link, reviews one person, calls them, and files a report.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/call-someone

A call link is a page for one person. A teammate opens it, reviews them, and places the call. When the call ends, the recording becomes a report on that person's timeline.

Create it under Company Settings, then Pages, then New Page, and choose Call link. Pick the report template the call should fill.

Copy a link for one person from the card, or insert [call_link] in a Send message action so the text carries their link.

How to use it: [Call someone](https://textwork.co/docs/call-someone) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/call-someone.md)

## Reply in the transcript

September 11, 2026. Read the thread and send a text from the same page while the assistant waits.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/reply-from-the-transcript

The transcript is the full thread. Open it from a person's timeline and use the box at the bottom to send a text from your company number.

Hover a message and choose Reply to quote it. On an email thread, that control is Reply by email.

If they are already in a conversation with the assistant, the box says so. Wait until that wraps up so your text does not land in the middle of it.

How to use it: [Read a transcript](https://textwork.co/docs/read-a-transcript) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/read-a-transcript.md)

## Outbound email

August 28, 2026. A team member can reply by email from the transcript or a report. Nothing goes out until they press Send.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/email-out

Outbound email is sent by a team member, not the assistant. Choose Reply by email on a message in the transcript, or Reply by Email on a report, to open the composer.

If the report includes a draft reply, the composer opens with it filled in. Read it over, edit anything, and press Send Email. The reply keeps the subject and threads onto the message it answers.

A reply to that email comes back into TextWork on the same thread.

## Document signing

June 10, 2026. Upload a PDF or Word file and text someone a link to sign it.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/signing-documents

Connect document signing from Company Settings, then Integrations. Upload a PDF or Word file, up to 25MB. TextWork detects the fillable fields.

When detection finishes, text someone the link. They fill it in and sign. TextWork can start a follow-up conversation when they are done.

How to use it: [Signing documents](https://textwork.co/docs/signing-documents) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/signing-documents.md)

## Inbound email

June 7, 2026. Mail to an address you set up becomes a conversation and a report.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/email-in

Add the address under Company Settings, then Channels, then New Channel, and choose Email. Pick the script that reads each message and fills the report.

Mail from someone already in your directory files on that person. Mail from everyone else files on the inbox. Newsletters and obvious spam from strangers do not reach the assistant.

Reply from the transcript with Reply by email.

How to use it: [Email in](https://textwork.co/docs/email-in) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/email-in.md)

## Improved Agent Memory

May 14, 2026. The assistant finds the right memory by meaning, and those memories show on the person.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/memory

TextWork keeps facts from earlier conversations. When a thread needs one, it searches by meaning, not only by the words in the question, then reorders the closest matches so the useful fact comes first.

Open a person on the graph. Their memories are listed on that card.

## Voice memos

April 17, 2026. A voice memo on iMessage is transcribed, and the assistant can answer with one.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/voice-memos

Someone sends a voice memo. TextWork transcribes it and the assistant reads that text.

While the thread stays in voice, the reply comes back as a voice memo. A text message switches the thread back to text.

Sample voice memo, transcribed: Nathan crushed it at 73 Patterson, got the bathroom fan wired, fixed the door closing, and knocked out both holders, which is great. But unfortunately, he still has to come back for the carpet, stairwell drywall, and a few other smaller things, not to mention the window at 71 and work at 217 Oakland. Hopefully, he wraps up his brother's trench soon.

## iMessage

April 10, 2026. People can message your company number over iMessage, and those threads file the same way texts do.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/imessage

Messages to the iMessage number start a conversation the same way a text does. The script runs, and the report lands on that person.

Photos come through on the transcript. A typing indicator shows while the assistant is writing.

## Zillow Lead API

April 1, 2026. Text rental leads when Zillow delivers them.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/zillow

Zillow sends a rental lead to TextWork. If the lead has a phone number, TextWork texts them and runs the script you picked.

Activate it in Company Settings, under Integrations. TextWork shows a webhook URL and a security token. Email both to Zillow so they can deliver leads.

A lead with no phone number is saved, and nobody is texted. The same lead arriving twice is skipped.

How to use it: [Zillow](https://textwork.co/docs/zillow) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/zillow.md)

## SmartRecruiters

March 27, 2026. Text applicants when SmartRecruiters sends a new application.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/smartrecruiters

When someone applies, SmartRecruiters notifies TextWork. If the application has a phone number, TextWork texts them and runs the script you picked.

Connect it in Company Settings, under Integrations. Paste an API key from SmartRecruiters and choose the script.

An application with no phone number is saved, and nobody is texted.

How to use it: [SmartRecruiters](https://textwork.co/docs/smartrecruiters) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/smartrecruiters.md)

## Dashboard filters

March 12, 2026. Narrow the dashboard by person, script, city, or a field on the report.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/filters

Apply filters quickly by clicking a pie chart or bar chart piece.

Or, apply more advanced filters with the funnel at the top of the dashboard.

Add more than one and they combine. The date range at the top still applies. Active filters sit in a bar. Click a chip to change it, or the × to remove it.

How to use it: [Quick filtering](https://textwork.co/docs/filters#quick-filtering) (Markdown: https://textwork.co/docs/filters.md)

## Join codes

March 2, 2026. Put a phrase on a job post. Anyone who texts it to your number starts a screen.

Canonical: https://textwork.co/changelog/join-codes

This is how TextWork screens started, before any ATS or job board was connected. Put a line like “Text JOB XYZ to (555) 010-4477 to apply” on a flyer, a job post, or a QR code.

TextWork matches the phrase, adds the person as a contact if they are new, and starts the script attached to that code. There is no JOIN prefix. The phrase is the whole code, and spaces and hyphens count the same.

Create one under Company Settings, on the Team tab. Leave the phrase blank to generate one, or type your own. You can also cap how many times it is used.

Someone who texts your number without a code gets one reply asking for it, at most once a day.
